This year we decided to ring in the New Year with our closest friends in our apartment. It was a blast and it was great to be surrounded by all of our wonderful friends. My sister and best friend helped me set up everything which was a blessing! Word of advice for hosting a party, pick a few friends that love working in the kitchen and hosting. They will be a HUGE help and will help you stay organized.
Now let us talk food. This part I planned a few weeks in advance. Since people were showing up between 8 and 9pm, I wanted to offer a variety of appetizers that would be filling but easy to eat since most would be standing. Here is my menu:
* Food that my wonderful friends brought
Vegetable Party Pizza
~16 slices or servings
Here are some tips to making the perfect cheese plate:
Spinach Dip in a Bread Crust (courtesy of Tofu 1-2-3)
Chocolate Oreo Truffles
Makes about 3 dozen truffles
Hope you will try some of these recipes at your next party! Ask me if you have any questions!
