Hi there! My name is Holly and I am a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist in Philadelphia. I would also call myself a foodie, fitness enthusiast, traveler and runner. I am passionate about showing my clients how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, through real food and mindful movement.
Cooking is a hobby of mine, I find great joy in making delicious, wholesome meals! Sometimes I follow recipes, sometimes I do not. Most of the time this concept works but when it doesn’t I always learn something new! I fully embrace the idea of experimenting in the kitchen! There was a time when boiling water and pasta was my specialty. Ten years later, as showcased on my blog and Instagram, I can now do much more! I share this because it is important to know that everyone has to start from somewhere.
Running, hiking, walking, biking, spinning, kickboxing, boot camp, barre, yoga, you name it and I enjoy it. If it gets me moving and outside, I am interested in it. I played soccer and lacrosse in high school and college so I naturally picked up running after college. I have completed several half marathons and would like to complete a triathlon in the next year. Traveling is also a passion of mine. I “caught the bug” during my time studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
Traveling allows me to meet new people, explore cities, learn about the local history and try the local cuisine! The last part is probably my favorite! Some of my favorite eats are Gelateria La Carraia’s stracciatella gelato from Florence, the nutella and banana Beavertail from Ottawa, Ellenos mixed berry Greek yogurt from Seattle and Dock Street’s crab cakes from Annapolis. Believe me I could go on and on!I have made it a goal to travel to a new city or country at least twice a year! This year I will be going to Ireland in June and somewhere south in the fall!
